POLAR BEAR CHRISTMAS CARDS

Many people find Polar Bears cute and funny. Though I would not like to spend a single moment in a Polar bear’s cage I could see how these yellow-white fur creatures have become so popular and lovable. They are very expressive with their mannerisms. Though I have never seen one wearing skates or a scarf yet their anthropomorphic qualities are so evident that I can easily imagine them doing stuff we do. Here is a set of cards featuring some arctic polar bears doing what you will actually never see them do but so well fit the Christmas-winter spirit!

LAIKA: DOG IN SPACE

On November 3 1957 the Soviet Union spacecraft Sputnik 2 was launched into space with only occupant a small female dog named Laika. Although Laika did not survive the trip, the experiment proved that a living passenger could survive being launched into orbit and endure weightlessness. It paved the way for human spaceflight and provided scientists with some of the first data on how living organisms react to spaceflight environments. Laika's pioneering journey made her one of the most famous dogs in the world and this design commemorates Laika and her short lived adventure in space.
